Before you upload
The better the photo, the better the portrait
You don't need a fancy camera. Clear light, sharp eyes, and the original photo file help us capture your pet accurately.
Do this
- Good lighting Natural daylight near a window is perfect.
- Face in focus Eyes sharp and clearly visible.
- Eye level Get down to your pet's height.
- High resolution The original photo, not a screenshot.
Avoid this
- Blurry or grainy Blur and grain hide their features.
- Too dark or backlit We can't see enough detail.
- Heavy filters Send the unedited original if you can.
- Far away A tiny face doesn't give us enough to work with.
We check every photo before we start
If the photo you send is too blurry or dark to work with, we'll email you before we start and ask for a better one. For a memorial piece made from older photos, send the clearest one you have; we'll say so if it can't give us enough detail. You always approve the final proof. See how the proof works
